The B3 MTL RTA is a good looking little tank. Its base diameter is 24mm, the same width as the BSKR V2 MTL RTA, so it will look good on top of most mods and will sit without protruding.

5 colors are available: matte black, stainless steel, gun metal, frost gray, and gold. I'm using the frosted gray for this review which is a matte dark silver color. The tank is attractive overall and the design is simple yet refined. Both the top cap and the base of the tank have knurling that adds grip and adds to the design. There is a "B" in the shield for the Berserker crest printed on the front of the tank but otherwise the tank is sleek and looks clean.

You get a lot of good stuff with this tank. The box includes a total of three drip tips, four reservoir sections, and four airflow inserts. Drip tips vary in height but are all the same bore. Two of the three are all black, while the longer one features metal grommets at the base. These rings are the same color as the tank so they match well together. These 510 drip tips are sized so they can be interchanged for any other 510 drip tip that has O-rings.

The inclusion of 4 tank sections is also neat. You get two glass and two PEI (heat resistant plastic). The B3 comes out of the box with the 2ml glass reservoir section installed but you can easily swap it out for one of the 6ml sections. To do this, you have to unscrew the glass from the middle cover under it.

Once unscrewed, the glass pops out (it may take some force to remove it the first time but it becomes easier if you grease the rings with a dab of ejuice). To install the 6ml tank section you must install the chimney extension which only screws into the short chimney located in the center of the tank. Pop out the new glass and screw it back together and you now have a 6ml MTL RTA.

Vandy Vape B3 MTL RTA Partially Disassembled

The one thing I really like about this tank is that it can be completely disassembled. Including the drip tip and airflow pin, the B3 disintegrates into 11 pieces. This allows you to clean it completely if you wish.

The top cap is a quarter turn and gives you access to two large kidney-shaped filling ports. If you then remove this fill port section, you will have access to the tank section where you fill your ejuice. Here, 6 circular openings in the floor of this section lead down and over a vaulted section that sits above the roof of the masonry. Ejuice travels below this dome down to the wick ports on the build roof.

The build surface on the B3 MTL RTA is very similar to the BSKR V2 MTL RTA. It is two column, two end masonry surfaces with screws secured. One small coil can fit nicely on a deck and Vandy Vape includes two 2.5mm ID and 0.74Ω Ultra Fine Clapton Coils. These files are the perfect size for this surface and fit perfectly when the legs have been trimmed down to 5mm.

Once the coil is installed, wicking is similarly a breeze. There is no cotton in the box so you will have to use your own. You want the cotton to be snug but not so tight that it distorts your coil as you pull it through. You will want to cut the cotton so that the ends run down into the wicking channels on either side of the build surface and then come out slightly through the wick holes on the side of the deck.

You have to make sure you have enough cotton enough to adequately fill the wick holes. If not, you will have a deck flood. I was able to get the wick just right on my first try so it wasn't too difficult. Just use enough cotton and make sure you fill in those holes well.

The B3's airflow setup is again unique but this time slightly different from previous Berserker tanks. The inserted airflow insert for the B3 also doubles as the 510 pin. It is inserted into the bottom of the tank and then the insert exits and protrudes from below the design surface, just below the coil.

Four airflow inserts come in the box: 0.8mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm, 2.0mm. This is a great set of MTL Draws; Extra tight MTL pull with 0.8mm insert, tight MTL pull with 1.2mm insert, medium tight MTL pull with 1.4mm insert, and loose MTL pull with 2.0mm insert.

To change the attachment, simply pull the Airflow attachment from the bottom and push it into a new location.

I like this airflow pin setup more than the airflow entry settings from previous Berserker tanks. It's easy to do and the airflow attachment stays there securely. However, I also have the same complaint I've had with other Berserker tanks that it's not practical to hold the screws and adjust the airflow when you're outside.

If you want to change the airflow when you're outside, you'll have to carry the input pins with you and that's a sure way to lose them. It is not practical to change entries on the fly. However, once you find an airflow accessory that you like, I don't think you'll want to change it up. More on this and my personal experiences with this tank in the performance section below.

Vandy Vape B3 MTL RTA 2

I installed the included ultra-fine compact clapton coil that came in the box and it came out to 0.73Ω, which is very close to the 0.74Ω listed in the bag. Since this is an MTL tank meant to be used at low power, I used 30mg and vaped around the 18W mark. I tested all of the Airflow inserts to see which I liked the most.

First, I must say that this tank steams like a dream. It's like vaping vaping more flavor. Although I was vaping with low wattage, the flavor is excellent. The airflow is also smooth and quiet regardless of which airflow input you used.

The 0.8mm attachment was too tight for me and I didn't enjoy vaping much. But if you like a really narrow MTL vape, this accessory will fit you perfectly. The 1.2mm entry is still narrow but more similar to the MTL narrow pulls I'm used to. Still, too tight for me.

1.4mm is right up my alley and my favorite of the four supplements. Once I used this supplement, I didn't want to switch it up. I ended up going back to this entry after trying the 2.0mm entry and I've been using 1.4mm ever since.

The 2.0mm attachment is a loose MTL graphic which I found very airy. MTL is still nice, just on the looser side.

I'm happy to use all 3 drip tips but I settled on a medium height drip tip for the end. As for the glass, I like the look of the 2ml glass better, and this tank doesn't use up a lot of ejuice very quickly, so it never bothered me.

to rule

The B3 MTL RTA is another great tank from Vandy Vape and Alex from VapersMD. The tank has a more attractive design than the previous BSKR V2 and I think it works better. Airflow inserts offer a wide range of MTL draws ranging from very tight MTL to loose MTL draw and if you are an MTL vaper then I think you will love the draw with at least one of the four.

The B3 is also quiet no matter what airflow input you're using and withdrawals are smooth. While Airflow inserts aren't practical for you to afford to swap out when you get out of the house, once you find one you don't like I don't think you'll want to change it.

The build deck is small but easy to build on. I also love that you can completely disassemble the tank for easy cleaning. There are a lot of positives to this tank and not a lot of negatives.

As far as MTL tanks go, the B3 is one of the best tanks out there right now. I can easily recommend to check it out if you are an MTL vaper.
